Rome wasn't built in a day

We crave that feeling of getting the shot.

Capturing something beautiful, emotional, meaningful, striking. We are also obsessed with weddings because we love seeing people happy and in love.

We are all having a good time exploring our creative potential in the field for over 5 years, and along the way have worked with extraordinarily lovely people, built long-lasting relationships in the industry, and been featured in reputable publications such as Wedluxe, Elegant Wedding, Wedding Chicks, Vineyard Brides and others. Our passion is always driving us to seek the next adventure in photography and film, and we can't wait to make more happy stories with you!

I have always loved arts since my earliest memories. Be it silly kindergarten drawings of rainbows and dogs, or enthusiastic first-tries at painting, or just doing my business studies while daydreaming of living and breathing arts. I knew I would not feel at ease with myself until I express and exploit my creativity. While doing what one must do these days (in my case, get a stable accounting job at a corporation with a cherry-on-top CPA designation), I found my mind constantly escaping to that other attractive and ever-satisfying world of photography. Once you start photography and love it, there is no way back. It is so addictive. I am obsessed with what I do, and that probably shows in my ohs and ahs as I take pictures.

Why weddings? Because I got married and found it to be the best day in my life, and want to relive it again with other amazing couples. As a photographer, I am with my brides and grooms pretty much all of the wedding day. I get to feel the excitement, the anticipation, the joy, the love, and every other heartfelt emotion in one day. And shooting weddings is more than just taking pictures - it is creative portraiture, photojournalism, exemplary eye for styling, working with literally every lighting scenario possible, meeting hundreds of lovely people, knowing a thing or two about bustling the dress and putting on a boutonniere, and, most importantly, being a best friend. Getting to be the one to tell this story of a heartfelt day through the lens of my eyes is a pleasure, a privilege, and my creative dream.

I started my wedding venture with photography till one day we thought, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if we also did cinematography for weddings?". Everything good starts with an idea, hard work, quite extensive investment of time (and equipment, in this case), and continuous passion for it. My photography background greatly affects my film-making style, as my films are often like moving still pictures. This passion of mine greatly stimulates my right side of the brain, while the left side is still occupied with accounting.

I have to admit, I am way better at expressing thoughts and emotions through visuals (hence why I am a cinematographer!) but, nevertheless, I will try to express myself through words in here.

Not that I am much of a Zodiac fanatic, but I think it'd help a lot to explain myself through my sign of Libra. I have always been told I am as Libra as it gets so there must be some truth to it!

  • Libras have bright imaginations and are constant dreamers. It's fair to say that I spent a significant portion of my day daydreaming. The good part is that a huge portion of it pertains to wedding films. I spend quite a lot of time running each wedding day through my mind, trying to put together that perfect wedding highlight trailer.

  • Libras love meeting and getting to know new people. Weddings give me such a great opportunity to connect with so many amazing people! I feel a strong bond with our wedding couples, and that really shows in how strongly each wedding film appeals to every couple.

  • As a Libra, I am not just a visual human. A more correct description would be an audio-visual human. I absolutely love music and can spend a day or two just selecting that perfect song to convey the wedding day emotions.

  • Last but not least, Libras succeed in two fields, politics and arts. As I am not quite involved in politics, it's no surprise that I got sucked into Arts.

I've always been carried away with whatever lets me dream bigger. While I've given a large piece of my heart to history studies, learning Latin, and writing an occasion poem now and then, Shotlife is currently taking up my mind day and night.

I love the long-lasting connections we are able to build through our work, and how we bring a smile to so many people when they see their pictures and film. Working with my wife Lusine and brother-in-law Jacob is yet another rewarding part of this venture. We enjoy spending time together, and our wedding adventures bring us even closer. We actually tried to use walkie talkies to continously communicate throughout the wedding days but soon realized it's useless - we know each other so well that one glance is enough for us to know what we are trying to say to one another.

In this ever changing society it's so nice to see that some things stay constant - the strive to share our love, compassion, experiences, emotions, and life with a partner. This strive becomes an official promise on a wedding day. It's an honor to be the one to capture this promise and withness the anticipation of a lifetime to future together.
