It certainly means something when I go back and look at these photos every now and then. The extent of love and energy that Claudia and Elliot passed on to their guests made their wedding so picture-perfect. Prepare yourselves for some seriously contagious smiles!

Claudia and Elliot held their intimate wedding ceremony and reception at the picturesque Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto - the ideal place for a timeless elegant theme. With its classic architecture, tastefully decorated vintage suites, and luxurious gardens, there is no room left for improvement! Claudia and Elliot opted for royal blue tones which was a stunning complement to the all-white canvas of the reception hall. The most noteworthy part? They managed to blend their love of comics into this elegant affair by adding a pinch of personalized elements, like a couple of superheroes on the cake topper, a Batman of a cufflink, and the charm of Wonderwoman in the bouquet. When Claudia and Elliot told me they both loved comics at their engagement shoot, I knew we were getting ourselves into something special. It's so exciting to see the unique personalities of our couples incorporated in the subtle elements of their wedding.
We started the day with Claudia's well-planned details, lots of laughter, and butterflies in the stomach leading up to their first look. This is how you get ready in style at the luxurious bridal suite in Graydon Hall.
And in the meantime, the boys were taking even more time getting dressed. Because..well, look at them! For once, there was as much detail to photograph on the groom as the bride. And yes, that's a real sword. How cool!
And here we are at the most anticipated part of the day- the first look. Surely this moment needs no comments. You can see this one is for the books. Shakespearean books in particular. *hehe*
In general, most couples we meet wonder if a first look would be a good idea. Honestly, there is no right or wrong. As a wedding photographer, I have done so many with a first look and as many without it, and every one of them felt perfect. So the key is to find the "perfect" for your own wedding day. If your wedding ceremony is scheduled for later in the day, then a first look would not only help us capture even more memories for you, but also make your day run smoother and give you some time to breathe and enjoy cocktails with your guests. On the other hand, if your ceremony is at noon, then you would have quite a lot of time to kill in between the ceremony and reception. For example, this was an early spring wedding, and, considering the early sunset time, having a first look not only felt right, but looked oh-so-romantic.
Next stop - a traditional Jewish ceremony with lots of singing, serious and light-hearted talk, and many other beautiful rituals. The rest of the evening is better told in photos and the (short and sweet) highlight film. In the midst of the elegant reception hall, full of royal blues and upscale elegance, the bride and groom and their guests never stopped smiling, laughing, crying, and losing themselves in the joy and fun of the evening. It surely was a night to remember!
