She was glowing brighter than the sun that day. Him, not being a big fan of attention or photos, was the most engaged groom-to-be I've yet photographed, willing to show just how much he loves her in their engagement photos.
From the moment I met Vanessa and Alex, I felt just how special their relationship was. They're not big on taking the stage and being the stars of the day on their upcoming wedding next year, and yet when it comes to their feelings for each other, surprisingly, all the boundaries become irrelevant and invisible. I mean, he proposed to her in one of the busiest and most vulnerable spots in the world - at the Grand Central in New York! *starry eyes*
For their engagement shoot Vanessa and Alex chose the historic grounds of Adamson Estate because it felt just the right amount of charm, romance, and, at the same time, rustic feel (like, a huge barn with rugged walls) which they both loved. The estate being right by the lake didn't hurt either. Vanessa wore a casual, soft and elegant white dress which complemented the overall atmosphere of the location so well. As a last minute thing they also grabbed some gorgeous red blooms for a nice pop of colour in the photos (and also as something that Alex would love to throw up in the air to make the shoot a bit more fun for him).
The second attire was all about being their everyday jeans-casual selves, and doing their everyday casual things, like Vanessa piggybacking, sitting on Alex's shoulders, and laughing the day off.
Hope you felt the love in the air as much as I do.
